10 days in London means lotsa traipsing. Also, meandering. And perhaps, rambling, although apparently that requires touching dirt. The streets of London no longer have any dirt on them, thanks to an OCD-esque street sweeping scheme, so let's forget rambling except for this blog post.
10 days in London means lotsa pubs during said traipsing and meandering. We set out to try as many public houses as possible, with the only qualification being that real ale must be served. It's all well and good to have "Super Chilled Kronenbourg" or "Sub-Zero Fosters" on tap, but I can drink cold beer anywhere. I need that cellar temperature, cask-conditioned good stuff if I'm going to suffer the most obscene currency conversion rate that I've ever experienced. (Shouldn't someone in Washington be concerned or even ashamed at how weak the dollar is? Don't they know I can buy fewer Sugababes and Girls Aloud CDs than ever?)
10 days in London with a new pub prerogative means that the likelihood of repeats is very low, and therefore, a return visit to any boozer in the Smoke would surely qualify it as the Mucho Feasto London Pub of the Year 2007.
(And I'll finally get around to telling you all about it shortly!)
